Memorial for NBS Student
On Thursday the 4th of April, NBS held a memorial for 9th grade student Jack Tamir that passed away on the 24th of March.
Attended the service were Jack’s family and close relatives in addition to staff and high school students.
The service opened by a prayer from the General Director Botrus Mansour then Chaplain Manal Haddad and English teacher Lily Khouri led comfort songs. Few passages from the Bible were read by teacher/sponsor of Jack’s class Eyman Laham and nurse Laila Abdo.
Vice Principal Anne Haddad, counselor A’bir Mansour and class mate Taleen Tabar shared about Jack’s life and his smile that reflected his attitude. They shared that his faith and endurance despite his illness set an example to the rest of us.
A Bible was presented to the family from NBS as a memory for Jack.
The mother Marcelle shared in tears how difficult it was for her to come to Jack’ second home when he is not there. She thanked the school for the support given to Jack during his years of illness and funeral and she said that they considered his class mates brothers and sisters to him.
The memorial service ended with a display of Jack’s pictures and the Lord’s prayer.
