The Thomaston, Georgia, Conference Report
2014/03/26

It was a joy to be a part of First Baptist Church, Thomaston (GA) Global Inpact Celebration from Wednesday, March 19 through Sunday, March 23. The theme was BE THESE - SALT AND LIGHT. FBCT has an Acts 1:8 approach to ministry. Participants in the 2014 Celebration hailed from Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina, Tennessee, Missouri, Moldova, Zambia, India, Peru, Thailand, South and Central America and Israel. Friends of Nazareth represented the Nazareth Baptist School, Nazareth, Israel.

The people of Thomaston welcomed FON with open arms! Rev. Bill Barber, Sr. Pastor and Mark Matson, Minister of Education/Administration/Missions worked above and beyond the call of duty to give every ministry present, including Friends of Nazareth, front and center attention!

Donna Chisam, FON Administrative Consultant, represented FON throughout the weekend.
A FON display was placed in the church's Fellowship Hall lobby from Wednesday - Sunday evening where many brochures were distributed.
The FON story and ministry was shared throughout the celebration.
Donna was privileged to be the mission speaker in each of the two Sunday morning worship services. The services were broadcast live on local TV and on radio, so the FON impact reached beyond the walls of the church.
The FON video was shown during the FON Celebration
The church and individual donors gave 4 scholarships for evangelical summer camps!
First Baptist Church, Thomaston plans to engage in partnership during 2015. We welcome them as a Friends of Nazareth partners and look forward to many years of them "Helping to Build the NBS Rising Generations Glorifying Jesus Christ through Distinctive Education.

Hallelujah for the good report!
