Arab and Jewish Principals Visit NBS
A group of 22 principals from Arab (both Christian and Muslim) and Jewish schools from around Israel visited NBS on Monday the 4th of December 2017. The group is part of the "From the wells" program in the Shalom Hartman Institute.This forum is defined "as an Initiative for Jewish-Arab Coexistence Education promotes coexistence in Israel by bringing together Jewish and Arab educators to address issues related to their shared background as citizens of the State of Israel through the study of common values based on traditional Muslim, Christian, and Jewish texts".
They heard a lecture from NBS general Director Botrus Mansour about the Christian faith from Baptist eyes and how this is dealt with in the reality of NBS.
The principals asked a lot of questions and then had a tour in Nazareth led by NBS Hebrew teacher and tour guide Aziz Banna.It included meeting the Greek Orthodox and Roman Catholic priests of Nazareth.
