Jan 2- Jan 6, 2019, Leaders and teachers from NBS traveled to Greece to serve refugees. The team taught English, Arabic, science, and played sports and games with the children. Time was spent with the women teaching them English and how to crochet. The team listened to the women’s life stories and responded with love and encouragement in their native Arabic language. A Christmas party was held with food, songs, and a word about the gift of Jesus and His love for us by Abir Mansour. The refugee women with much joy prepared traditional Syrian food for the party. With financial support from the NBS annual Christmas bazar, the team was able to provide the party, supply each family with a gift card for groceries, and chocolates for the children. The team also purchased blankets and dispersed them through refugee housing. John 15:12 says “My command is this love each other as I have loved you.” Great job NBS for showing God’s love in a powerful way!
